Tianjin Samsung Electro-Mechanics: All production lines currently running at full capacity.
Inside the production workshop of Tianjin Samsung Electro-Mechanics, automated production lines are running at high speed, operating continuously at full capacity around the clock. "All production lines are currently running at maximum capacity," noted a production supervisor at the facility. Driven by the expanding global demand for automotive electronics, Samsung continues to ramp up production capacity in Tianjin by building new lines and upgrading existing ones. Capitalizing on market opportunities and capacity upgrades, the company has maintained strong growth momentum; orders for the fourth quarter of 2025 rose by approximately 30% year-on-year, and the annual output value has seen steady growth.
By the end of 2025, Samsung had established 16 manufacturing facilities across locations including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Suzhou, Shenzhen, and Xi'an, with a cumulative investment in China exceeding $55 billion. The company has built an industrial matrix spanning diverse sectors such as high-end manufacturing, semiconductors, and power batteries for new energy vehicles. Meanwhile, long-term partner Zhejiang Jiemei Electronic & Technology—deeply rooted in the electronic components supply chain—has leveraged continuous technological innovation to become a global leader in the niche markets of thin carrier tapes and release films.

Regarding MLCC production capacity, Samsung Electro-Mechanics' largest plant—located in Tianjin—boasts a monthly output of 120 billion units. Furthermore, the company recently announced plans to invest approximately 15 trillion KRW over the coming years to boost production of MLCCs and flip-chip ball grid array (FC-BGA) substrates, catering to sectors such as AI semiconductors.
