$200 Million! Samsung Electro-Mechanics Secures Another AI Server MLCC Supply Contract
On July 23, Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced that it had signed a contract worth approximately $200 million to supply multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) for AI servers to a major global corporation.

Reportedly, the contract covers the period from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027, with the products intended for use in AI servers and data center systems. This marks Samsung Electro-Mechanics' second MLCC supply agreement in the AI sector; earlier in June, the company secured a $300 million deal with a major global technology firm to supply MLCCs for AI servers. Furthermore, Samsung Electro-Mechanics stated that it holds over 40% of the global market share for AI server MLCCs and is currently negotiating additional medium- to long-term supply agreements with various overseas clients.
