Planning to Raise 20.6 Billion Won! Amotech Steps Up Investment in AI Data Center MLCCs

Amotech announced on the 31st that it has finalized the issue price for its new share offering. The offering—structured with a preferential allocation to existing shareholders followed by a public offering of any unsubscribed shares—comprises 2.37 million common shares priced at 8,700 KRW per share, resulting in total proceeds of 20.6 billion KRW.

Amotech plans to allocate the proceeds from this fundraising round to projects such as expanding production capacity for MLCCs used in AI data centers and developing new motor products.

The company intends to establish high-value-added MLCC production lines through a three-year equipment investment plan, while also expanding production lines for Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) MLCCs to generate additional revenue.

Simultaneously, Amotech will expand its business operations in automotive electronics and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). It plans to develop a new motor product portfolio tailored to the needs of major global enterprises, with concurrent R&D efforts focused on drive motors for automotive pop-up displays and medium-to-large cooling fan modules for ESS applications.

Amotech previously announced the commencement of full-scale mass production of high-performance MLCCs for AI data centers, marking its official entry into this market. The company plans to begin supplying broadband MLCCs to a major US-based global optical communications firm in the second half of this year, with expectations to supply higher-priced ultra-broadband MLCC products starting next year.
