Release Film Product Line

MLCC Release Film

GTW’s highly uniform release films feature excellent coating adhesion and stable release performance. By applying a silicone-based formulation and antistatic agents to one or both sides of a PET substrate, GTW ensures outstanding peel strength and consistent performance across various applications. These films serve as functional layers to protect adhesive surfaces in electronic and display components, as well as providing mechanical protection during the MLCC manufacturing process.

Applications:

Primarily used in the production of ceramic capacitors and RF components. Features include excellent peel stability, strong release layer adhesion, and a high residual adhesion rate.

BOPET Base Film for MLCCs

BOPET base films for MLCCs (Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitors) feature high mechanical strength, rigidity, and toughness, along with excellent electrical insulation properties. They are transparent, highly glossy, non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless, while also offering resistance to abrasion, folding, pinholes, and tearing. As MLCCs move toward higher capacitance and miniaturization, the demand for an increased number of stacked ceramic layers necessitates thinner film sheets. Consequently, achieving superior flatness and smoothness in the BOPET release films used in MLCC manufacturing presents a primary challenge.

Manufactured in a Class 1,000 cleanroom environment with surface roughness controlled between 10 and 40 nm, the film meets the rigorous demands of high-capacitance, miniaturized MLCCs regarding ultra-thin ceramic sheets.
