Sichuan Aviation Industry Chuanxi Machinery Co., Ltd. was established in 1965 under the auspices of the former Third Ministry of Machine-Building Industry and is a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). It serves as a key R&D and manufacturing base for cold and hot isostatic pressing equipment in China; its civilian product portfolio primarily includes cold, hot, and warm isostatic presses. In the early 1970s, the company collaborated with institutions such as Tsinghua University and Beihang University to successfully develop China's first isostatic press featuring a prestressed wire-wound structure. This achievement broke the blockade and monopoly imposed by developed nations on critical process equipment, earned a National Science Conference Award, and led to the company's cold isostatic pressing equipment being designated as an import-substituting product. The company has secured over 100 patents in isostatic pressing technology and formulated industry standards for "Wire-Wound Cold Isostatic Presses" and "Wire-Wound Hot Isostatic Presses." Its equipment is widely used by military and scientific research organizations in sectors such as aviation, aerospace, the nuclear industry, ordnance, and shipbuilding. By providing essential process equipment for R&D and production in national defense and advanced materials, the company has made significant contributions to national defense construction and the development of the country's basic industries.
